In recent years, I’ve discovered a deep passion for cinematic night photography, and I’m excited to share with you my latest project: a Film Style Cinematic Engagement Photoshoot in Bohemian Roma Norte — or a Wong Kar-wai inspired couple photoshoot.
I’m naturally drawn to cinematic aesthetics, and I believe that Mexico City offers the perfect backdrop for this style of photography. Its vibrant and eclectic streets, nostalgic textures, and bohemian spirit create a magical atmosphere — from the colorful chaos of Roma Norte to the laid-back charm of Condesa.

Night Mexico City Lights
When Morgan and Ruben reached out to me via Instagram, they were looking for something unique for their engagement photos. They mentioned they loved my night photography work and wanted to incorporate that vibe into their session. They also hoped for a mix of night and golden hour images, which is an ideal combination for cinematic storytelling.
We started the shoot in a small park by the lake in Condesa, just a short distance from Roma Norte. The late afternoon golden light was perfect for capturing warm, glowing portraits. I encouraged Morgan and Ruben to move naturally, dance a little, and simply enjoy the moment. Their connection and playful energy created the perfect scene — and the camera loved it.
This session was an absolute joy to create, and it truly reflects my love for combining film-inspired photography with authentic human moments.

As the sun set, we moved into the heart of Roma Norte, where neon lights, vintage architecture, and shadowy streets gave us that signature Wong Kar-wai atmosphere. Shooting at night allowed us to experiment with colors, reflections, and cinematic compositions — turning each frame into a little story.
